In today's session of the Senate, 48 newly elected members of the Senate will be sworn in, most of whom belong to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The newly elected members of the Senate will be sworn in today for a six-year term from 2021 to 2027, with 19 senators from the ruling party taking the oath.
PTI's Mohsin Aziz, Liaqat Tarakai, Shibli Faraz, Faisal Saleem, Zeeshan Khanzada, Dost Muhammad Khan and Humayun Mohmand will take the oath.
Besides, Sania Nishtar, Falak Naz, Garmeep Singh, Fauzia Arshad, Saifullah Niazi, Aun Abbas, Ejaz Chaudhry and Ali Zafar will also take the oath. PTI's Faisal Voda, Saifullah Abro and Abdul Qadir will also be sworn in as senators.

Eight PPP centres including Sherry Rehman, Saleem Mandviwala, Taj Haider, Shahadat Awan, Jam Mehtab Dehar, Palwasha Khan, Farooq H Naik and Yousuf Raza Gilani will also take oath as senators.
Prince Ahmed Omar, Manzoor Ahmed, Sarfraz Bugti, Saeed Hashmi, Samina Mushtaq and Danish Kumar will take the oath.
Those taking oath include five PML-N centres Dr Afnanullah, Sadia Abbasi, Sajid Mir, Azam Nazir Tarar and Irfan Siddiqui.
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Kamran Murtaza and Ata-ur-Rehman of 3 centres of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami will take the oath.
Hidayatullah and ANP's Omar Farooq, Faisal Sabzwari and MQM's Khaleda Atib, BNP's Muhammad Qasim and Naseema Ehsan will also take the oath. Kamil Ali Agha of PML-Q will also take oath as a senator.
